Example setup. External services need authorization; some steps open their settings.
AI helps your team investigate. You decide what to send to the customer.
Customer conversation
Engineering thread in #platform-escalations
Your team starts the escalation. Its progress stays separate from the ticket’s status.
Share your website, choose where customers write and review a suggested setup plan.
Start with your Escalio email address. Follow the setup steps for your own mailbox and the other channels you need.
Send a test request to your support address. Your setup conversation tracks the first ticket and reply.
Your website can provide a draft of your portal’s colors, icon and links. You review the changes; external services keep their own authorization steps.
Look up earlier tickets, see how the team answered before and explore customer history. Continue the investigation in a ticket chat or your own thread, with sources you can check.
Enable Escalio’s offered models or connect your organization’s own provider keys.
AI answers stay with your team. Review the findings and send the customer’s reply from the ticket.
Use Notion, GitHub, your own Slack account for search, and compatible MCP servers. Choose the tools AI can access. External actions wait for your approval.
AI must be enabled. It uses the information your account can access; model availability and usage limits apply. GitHub and Slack search require platform setup. Jira and log access depend on a compatible MCP server and the tools it exposes. Each connection has its own permissions.
See when the team acknowledges the issue, open the linked Slack discussion and track completion. Send the customer an update when you have the answer.
Engineering discussions stay in Slack. Completing an escalation does not automatically solve the customer ticket.
Make the portal yours
A familiar place for customers to ask questions and follow their requests, with your own appearance and domain.

Set your colors, logo and favicon. Use a theme package for layouts, backgrounds and fonts, with light and dark appearances.
Arrange questions and answers, useful links and request starters on a chat-style home page.
Check a theme on desktop and mobile, publish it when ready and restore a previous version when you need to.
Available in the beta. Custom domains need DNS verification. Theme packages change the appearance of existing portal features; AI-generated features and workflows are planned.
The workspace behind the conversation
Ownership, priorities, tags, saved views and reusable reply macros.
A customer portal where people can send requests, see their replies and follow progress.
Configure automations and webhooks. Follow ticket and escalation analytics.
Preview imports from Intercom, Freshdesk and other supported help desks, or use Zendesk exports and CSV. What comes over depends on the source.
Pricing
Start with one agent.
Pay by card or USDT/USDC on Ethereum.
Each rate applies only to agents in that band
Card payments add applicable taxes. Crypto payments include applicable taxes; network fees are separate. Manage your plan in Billing. The custom-version option is not available yet. With your own AI provider keys, you pay that provider directly. Usage rates and payment terms will be shown before paid activation.
A few useful details
After you verify your email, owners and admins start in a setup conversation. Your Escalio support address is ready at first sign-in. Answer a few questions, review the plan and follow the steps to connect your channels. Some actions apply from the plan; others open their settings. Setup time depends on the services and access you need.
Your branding, domain and the home page’s questions, links and request starters. For deeper appearance changes, download a theme package, edit it outside Escalio, upload it and check the preview before publishing. Themes support layouts, colors, fonts, light and dark appearances, with version history and restore. They style existing portal features. Generating and deploying new features or workflows through an AI conversation inside Escalio is planned.
No. You can also bring ticket history from supported help desks, preview what will be imported and keep working on new requests while the import runs. Attachment support and other limits depend on the source. Existing routing rules and automations need to be configured in Escalio.
Not in the current beta. Escalio AI helps staff investigate tickets and use connected knowledge. You review the findings and send replies yourself. Automatic answers for documentation questions and known fixes, with other replies held for review, are planned. Separately configured helpdesk automations follow the rules set by your admins.
The current beta can use tools exposed by configured connectors, with external actions requiring approval. The complete workflow that matches a new request to an issue, prepares a reproduction example, posts an update and recommends priority changes is planned. A connector alone does not configure or verify that workflow.
Email, configured Slack channels, Telegram groups and topics, Discord and a customer portal. External channels must be connected. Telegram uses your own bot; Discord uses your own bot with a request button and a private channel per ticket. Private Telegram chats are not a support inbox.
Admins can connect Anthropic, OpenAI or a compatible provider, check the available models and choose which ones the team can use. Your provider bills that usage directly. Escalio’s offered models and usage limits are configured separately.
Confirm your email and complete registration to open your organization. You get 14 days of full workspace access without a card, followed by 7 days without sending customer replies. Then an administrator can open Billing to pay and restore access. Payment is optional; the trial does not charge you automatically.
